Architecture Associate

PWG has an immediate need for a talented, creative, and motivated Architecture Associate. This is a full-time position that will be based out of our Sarasota, FL office. Project types will include Multi-family, Healthcare, Mixed-use, Hospitality, and Retail. PWG Architects offers a comprehensive benefit package with options for health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, annual bonuses, and the ability to participate in a 401K program. We also offer paid holidays and paid personal time off.

Roles and Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
• Participate in the development of functional, sustainable and aesthetic designs with responsibilities that focus on project delivery of construction documents.
• Perform specific/limited portions of assignments using prescribed methods for a variety of architectural projects under the general supervision of a licensed architect.
• Responsibility and assignments will increase and diversify with skill level.

Desired Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience:
• Education: Completion of professional architecture degree program
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop; Revit experience a plus
• Knowledge of 3dsmax is a plus but not required
• Ability to learn and operate the BDG online project data base
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and professionally with other team members. and accept direction to reach common goals for successful outcomes

Project Architect

PWG has an immediate need for a talented, creative, and motivated Project Architect. This is a full-time position that will be based out of our Sarasota, FL office. A minimum of 5 years of experience and license to practice architecture within an NCARB jurisdiction of the United States is required. Project types will include Multi-family, Healthcare, Mixed-use, Hospitality, and Retail. Duties/Responsibilities
• Be responsible for project management to ensure projects are completed on time, are within budget, of high quality and fulfill client expectations.
• Maintain communication with the project team, the Principal-in-Charge and operations management.
• Establish and improve project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Coordinate and track project budgets and schedules.
• Assist in preparation of fee proposals and agreements with the owner and consultants.
• Manage and oversee work of project team and provide direction and organization.
• Ensure efficient project delivery and quality from programming through project closeout.
• Coordinate monthly billing with accounting department.
• Act as primary client contact for specific projects, ensure client development and satisfaction and assist to secure ongoing work.
• Supervise and manage work of project team members to provide direction, organization, and quality control reviews.
• Supervise and support production staff, conduct reviews to improve staff performance and assist in establishing training activities.
• Manage and assist with work on all phases of various architectural projects including design development, preparation of presentation drawings and specifications, design review, coordination and correlation of construction drawings and review production drawings and specifications.
• Act as peer client contact to assist in development of and ensure implementation of client established processes and procedures. The Program Architect must also write reports to keep the client informed about the status of the overall program and specific projects.
• Supervise and support production staff, conduct reviews to improve staff performance and assist in establishing training activities.

Required Skills/Abilities
• General knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in an architectural office is required.

Bookkeeper / Administrative Associate (part-time)

In this position, the employee will be involved with a variety of bookkeeping tasks and administrative support functions. This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week based out of PWG’s Sarasota office.

Roles and Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:
• Full-Cycle Accounts Payable to include invoice data entry, GL account coding, payment selection, check printing, assembly of backup paperwork
• Accounts Receivable to include creation and distribution of client invoices and timely posting of receipts along with payment collection of those invoices
• Post various credit card expenses to appropriate GL account
• Identify, research and resolve invoice variances
• Routine and Ad-Hoc Reporting
• Maintain Organized Filing System
• Perform basic clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, etc.
• Assist with incoming and outgoing mail including interaction with various shipping and courier companies.
• Requisition of supplies.

Desired Skills, Knowledge and/or Experience:
• Minimum educational requirement – high school diploma
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional office environment
• Ability to read and write in English
• Professional phone skills to handle incoming and outgoing calls
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Customer service attitude
• Ability to accurately analyze data and effectively communicate information to others that is concise, accurate, and appropriate to receiving party
• Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
