Tom Thornburgh P.E. Professional Engineer

Tom Thornburgh, a mechanical/electrical/plumbing engineer (M/E/P), heads the in-house engineering for PWG. Mr. Thornburgh, a graduate of the University of Alabama is actively registered in Florida and Pennsylvania with inactive registrations in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee and Kentucky.

In the mid 80’s Mr. Thornburgh headed his own firm with a staff of 8. He has also headed the mechanical departments of several prominent Florida engineering firms with a staff of up to 20 people. He has extensive engineering experience in the private sector, and expertise in commercial, institutional and residential facilities including retail, educational facilities, offices and healthcare.  He has been involved in energy conservation techniques throughout his career and has designed systems with both ice storage and heat storage. His expertise includes both direct expansion systems and central station systems utilizing chillers and boilers.

His technology talent and experience meshes tightly with the philosophy at PWG to create tightly integrated concise documents.
